Module 5 Participation from a community approach

The last step of the ladder of participation is the one that reaches the full participation of competent people, groups and communities, capable of acting and making decisions about the problems that affect them.

Intervention with people at an individual and group level is essential, but the move to the community area, often relegated to the background due to the overflow of professionals, constitutes a fundamental dimension of work if we are committed to sustainable and lasting social transformations.

This module provides some keys to understand the concept of community participation as well as clues to work in this direction, based on the contributions of community development and the PAR.
